The concept for the Iowa Artist Directory was identified as a need in the Regional Cultural Assessment and was further supported by the Capital Crossroads Visions Plan catalyst priorities and the Des Moines Arts Festival Strategic Initiatives. ARTSwork is encouraging Iowa artists to create a free profile and for those looking for an artist to create opportunities. The site building was made possible through a grants by the Iowa Arts Council, a part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and was built locally by Fajen Consulting.
